- Before the judge, or court; not yet decided; under judicial consideration
- When something is sub judice, it is the subject of a trial in a court of law. In Britain, this means that people are not allowed to discuss it in the media. He declined further comment on the grounds that the case was sub judice. a legal case being considered sub judice is now being dealt with by a court, and therefore is not allowed to be publicly discussed, for example in a newspaper
- under judgment, matter that is under judicial examination and is forbidden to investigate
