Any of several Nordic breeds of dog such as the Pomeranian or Samoyed
American swimmer who won seven gold medals at the 1972 Olympic games, the most ever won by an athlete at a single Olympics. He won a total of 11 medals at the 1972 and 1976 games, setting a record for Olympic swimmers.
