Any member of the Bb movement who remained faithful to the teachings of the Bb and his chosen successor, Mrz Yahya, known as ob-e Azal, after the movement split in 1863. For 13 years after the Bb's execution, followers recognized ob-e Azal as their leader. Then ob-e Azal's half-brother, Bah Ullh, privately declared himself to be the prophet whose coming the Bb had foretold. The Azals rejected him, but most Bbs followed him, establishing the Bah faith in 1867. Now located almost exclusively in Iran, the Azals probably number no more than a few thousand
