Caernarvon a small town in northwest Wales, known for its castle where the British king or queen's oldest son is given the official royal title Prince of Wales. After the Roman withdrawal ( 380-390), it was the seat of local chieftains. The township was completely transformed by Edward I after his conquest of Wales in 1282.
