(Arkeoloji) Stel veya stela, dikilmiş, yüksekliği eninden uzun yekpare bir taştan oluşan bir yapıttır. Sözcük Yunanca stele yani "(dikili) duran blok"tan gelir. Ahşap olanlarına da rastlanmıştır. Stelin farklı şekillerde kullanılan farklı tipleri vardır. Örneğin özellikle Antik Yunan'da rastlanan mezar taşı mahiyetinde steller vardır. Bunlara mezar steli de denir. Amarna'da ise sınırı işaretleyen Akhenaten steli bulunur; steller sınır işaretleri olarak da kullanışmılardır. Bunların dışında askeri zaferleri anan steller de mevcuttur.
