It's short for "electronic ID", and is a name for the new computer IDs that are coming at K-State The concept of an eID is "one ID, one password" for each student, faculty, staff, alumnus, and K-State guest It will eliminate the confusion of having many IDs/passwords in order to access separate computer resources at K-State eIDs will replace the K-State Computing IDs on the university's central computer systems, and departments have the option to integrate it on their computer systems as well (For fun, see the list of IDs/passwords currently required at K-State )
